We're living our days and suddenly face that "wolf." Whatever that may be. Whether it's fear of change, success, meeting people, making small talk, voicing our opinion or simply being ourselves. Fear blocks us from reaching our goals so why do we sabotage ourselves?
Fear is limiting.
It paralyzes.
It is a lie.
Let's shift our perspective and our thoughts and defeat it.
I've never had to run for my life. I've never seen my city in ruins. I've never lost a loved one due to a tragic event.
Unfortunately, ten years ago many would live through such tragedy. The memories, photographs and horrific images still haunt us. They bring back emotions of pain and disbelief.
This video, narrated by Tom Hanks, is about the human spirit and ordinary people coming together in a time of need. In the midst of all the chaos, the every day hero showed up. Stories of the human spirit are abundant. These stories are only a fraction of our country's resilience and of the power of the hero in us.
Today we commemorate the tenth anniversary of 9/11.
Let us remember the nearly 3,000 lives that were lost on that day. Let us remember those who have lost their lives in the line of duty. Let us remember those who are in our armed forces. Let us remember.
Sunbathing by the pool in 110+ degree Texas weather for days on end was my version of "paradise". I wanted a tan and went to great lenghts to get it. I'd slather on a tan accelerator (that should have been a clear warning) and not only tanned but charred myself to a crisp. I could have done a million things to help improve the world, but apparently, my number one priroity was to get that tan!
That was back in the day. It was utterly and ridiculously absurd.
Thank goodness I wised up but I'm paying for all that fun (and ignorance) now. If I'm out in the sun even for a short period of time, I get brown spots on my face. I do think it's important to catch some rays for the vitamim D, but in moderation. I "faux" tan since discovering the Jergens Natural Glow daily moisturizer; it works like a charm!
Slather sunblock my dears. Your skill will thank you for it.
Does this bring back memories for you? Were you like me?
This video is captivating! The animator is crazy talented! He used real objects and hand drawings that were composed in after effects. The school was made out of cardboard and then replicated into 3D. The characters were made out of wood, wires, modeled in tissue paper and cold porecelain. The mix of digital tools and real objects is phenomenal. I wonder how many hours it took to put this 3 minute video together.
